Covid Status

Our goal, from the start of this Pandemic, has been to be transparent with the impact COVID is having inside our facility of excellence. The COVID status tracker for Residents and employees is another way we can provide full transparency to our Residents, families, and employees. The information provided will be updated each weekday, Monday through Friday. Information provided by the close of the day on Monday will reflect what occurred over the weekend.

9.21.21

As of September 21, 2021, we do have two staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19, last day worked for both was 9/14. Our team members will follow all CDC guidelines to recover and return to work safely. At Windsor Place Senior Living Campus, we want to assure you that we are adhering to rigorous infection control practices throughout our facility. We will start conducting twice-weekly facility-wide testing per the Iowa Dept. of Health guidance and CMS.  Regular testing is an effective method of slowing the virus’s spread, so we look forward to continuing this practice until the virus is no longer prevalent. We continue to stay in touch with the County Health Department to ensure we are following the most up-to-date policies and procedures to defend against the spread of the virus. We are also collaborating with our medical director daily.

In person visits are back. Family members and loved ones are welcome to stop by any time between 7am and 9pm Monday through Sunday. Advanced notice is appreciated but not required. We kindly ask that visitors respect all facility protocols when visiting and wearing a mask to keep our residents and staff safe during the duration of the visit. However, those interested in virtual calls with your loved one/ family member, please reach out to the facility directly at 641.622.2971 or you may also message us at the link below.

As a reminder, the following defensive measures are in place at our facility:

  • Closely monitoring and screening all residents and team members for symptoms on a daily and shift-by-shift basis. This includes temperature checks and other CDC-recommended screenings.
  • Enforcing social distancing.
  • Allowing only essential individuals (those providing critical care for residents) into the healthcare community.
  • Practicing frequent hand hygiene in accordance with CDC guidelines.
  • Frequent disinfecting of high-touch surfaces to decrease environmental contamination.
  • Taking higher-than-required protective equipment precautions, such as wearing N95 masks, gloves and gowns as situations warrant their use.
  • Requiring all residents to stay in their rooms to better protect themselves.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding through this time.

Sincerely,
